The simulacrum or the venerable wooden statue of the Madonna del Carmine is kept in the church and makes it directly connected with the traditions of Trastevere. Every year the next Saturday from the feast of this Madonna "Festa de noantri" is celebrated with the cycle of open-air spectacles, street lights and restaurants open till the late night. Local feast occurs in the month of July. It is also called Sant'Agata "Ad Colle Iacentes", since it used to be at the bottom of the Colli Gianicolensi.
