Fra Diamante, Italian painter, was born in Terranova, Valdarno in 1430 and died in Florence in circa 1498. He was a Carmelite brother, and in 1452 helped Filippo Lippi in decoration of the choir of the cathedral in Prato; later he worked in the Sistine Chapel and probably created here the fresco Faraone sommerso nel Mar Rosso, which is traditionally attributed to Rosselli.
