Achille Funi, Italian painter, was born in Ferrara in 1890 and died in Milan 1972. He was a pupil of C.Tallone in Milan, and was one of the founders of the group "The 20th century" (1914). His most noted works are: Venus in love (1928, Milan, Gall.d'Arte Mod.), frescoes in Monza and Milan (Palazzo di Giustizia, Saving Bank of Milan, 1930-40), fresco Myth of Ferrara (Palazzo Comunale di Ferrara, 1934-37).
