Giovanni Maria Morandi, Italian painter, was born in Florence in 1622 and died in Rome in 1717. He worked in Florence, Venice and mostly in Rome, where depicted the Death of Mary in Chiesa di S.Maria della Pace, as well as numerous paintings for duke Salviati (Rome) and for Leopold I (Vienna).
