Palazzo Caetani Lovatelli

Palazzo Caetani Lovatelli (formerly Paluzzi Serlupi) is on the angle between Piazza Campitelli and Via della Tribuna Campitelli. It was erected in 1580-1620 by the Serlupi in the modest style, on the old houses of this family and on the area of the primitive Chiesa di S.Maria in Campitelli, and is attributed to G.Della Porta. The palace is more interesting inside than outside: a beautiful staircase and elegant halls, where the cultural meetings visited by the most celebrated personalities of the epoch and organized by Ersilia Lovatelli Caetani, daughter of Michelangelo Caetani, took place in the middle of the 19th century.
