Arnaldo Pomodoro, Italian sculptor, was born in Morciano di Romagna in 1926. After studies in architecture, he dedicated himself to the sculpture in the beginning of 50's, with the informal language expressed by the materials such as gold, silver, iron, wood, bronze and cement. After participation in the group "Continuita'" (Continuity) (1961-1962) together with L.Fontana, P.Dorazio and others, Pomodoro has found his own balance of the external geometry and internal scenography: Colonna del viaggiatore (1960) (Turin, Coll.priv.).
