Villa Osio - House of Jazz In Rome, Italy

Inside the three farmhouses that make up the former residence of the Magliana Gang's old boss, a venue with a 150-seat auditorium, a rehearsal and recording room, an archive, a library, accommodation quarters for artists, restaurant and bar opened. The House of Jazz is immersed in the green of a 3-hectare park located between the Baths of Caracalla and the beginning of Via Cristoforo Colombo and is ideal for open-air concerts. Casa del Jazz (Jazz music centre) in Villa Osio has auditorium, recording studios, a restaurant and a bar.

A memorial stone commemorates the victims of the mafia.

Inaugurated on April 21, 2005, the Casa del Jazz stands just outside the Aurelian Walls, near the great Sangallo Bastion. Its development was part of a larger architectural and naturalistic plan to restore Villa Osio to its former grandeur. The buildings have now been restored to their original glory, as intended by Cesare Pascoletti. The restoration work was handled by Zetema.
